On a cold November night in Times Square, Officer Lawrence DePrimo was working a counterterrorism post when he encountered an older, barefooted homeless man. The officer disappeared for a moment, then returned with a new pair of boots, and knelt to help the man put them on.
The act of kindness would have gone unnoticed and mostly forgotten, had it not been for a tourist from Arizona.
Amazing !!
After this went viral, I heard on the news that the guy sold the boots and was pictured on the street, “bootless” just a few days later.
Well, i am not surprised, but the police office deserves our respect.
Of course, it’s his gesture and the kindness of his heart that deserve recognition… Apart from that, the homeless man was free to use the gift as he pleased. Some people can use chances given to them, some can’t but that is not the point here.
Yes and the only things that remains from this story is the kindness of the officer. As for the homeless man i wish i can do something more for him, but unfortunatelly i can’t.
