Built between 1996 and 2007, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the largest place of worship in the United Arab Emirates.The exquisite craftsmanship & precious materials were sourced in many countries such as Germany, Morocco, Pakistan, Malaysia, Iran, China and even New Zealand. Marble, gold, semi-precious stones, crystals and ceramics are some elements that adorn the great mosque.The carpet in the main hall is considered the largest carpet in the world. It measures 5627 m2 and took 2 years to complete.
