Most pedestrians simply walk past the used, abandoned, and broken things found along the streets of New York City. But, not graphic designer Yoonjin Lee! As she navigates through the city, the senior at the School of Visual Arts finds clever ways to give personality to a variety of small, inanimate objects in her series, Little Lost Project.
The artist constructs tiny cardboard signs that create a voice for the discarded stuff and convey messages like „Help! I’m lost!” and „You’d think a ‘pair of gloves’ would be together forever…I am useless now.” The poor little objects hold the signs up along the sidewalks and, if passers-by happen to take a second glance, they will discover the sadness a lost lighter or a dropped metro card might „feel” when it discovers it no longer has a purpose.
The artist explains, „Losing your phone can ruin your day for sure but how about losing your favorite lip balm that you always keep in your pocket? It is definitely annoying but you can easily buy a new one. Ever wonder where and what these little objects are doing now?”

Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 250,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 11 days for that many people to see it.

This is last post of this year….. first of all I want to thank everybody who visits this blog everyday and to tell you that I’m very excited to see that the community around this blog grows every day. I really wanted to
reach the 1 million views in 2014, but I think it will happen in a few months so please do remember to comeback in the new year and let’s discover together many amazing, simple and interesting thigs.
For all of you I wish you Happy Holidays and a wonderful new year! See you in 2015! 🙂
Exactly one year ago I decided to take a break from smoking. Before I do that, I really smoke a lot, maybe more than one package per day and I decide that my lungs needs a pause….:))
Well, I can tell you, that the first hours was hard and after that, the next day everything was normal and good….I don’t know if I’m healthier, but for me this was a big accomplishment!!!! I promise myself that I’ll smoke again on my 90’s birthday, so if this blog still exists, we’ll talk then. :)))
My advice for my friends who still needs a cigarette is to try not to smoke and take a break, just like me because it’s easy and you can live without it!
Today this blog celebrates the second anniversary and it’s time to show you my stats: over 4500 articles, close to 4000 friends who are following my posts, 700 visitors/day, page rank 4 and not at last 800.000 views…..I wished for more views but maybe next year I’ll break with your help another important milestone for me : 1 million views! :))
Last year another major change happened here because I bought a private domain and not what I wanted in the first place, but I have good friends here on WP and they remember my new address : cristimoise.net.
Unlike last year the number of posts decreased because I tried to deliver much better articles and I hope you’ll find it intesting. Of course, everything I accomplished here is because of YOU and for all your support I’ll owe you forever.
I don’t want to bore you so I want to thank you and trust me, no matter what, I will keep looking for simple and interesting things for you! 🙂
